Ruben Amorim successor sacked just six weeks after coach took Man Utd job

Sporting Lisbon has dismissed Joao Pereira as manager after only six weeks due to poor results. Pereira, who replaced Ruben Amorim, has only managed three wins in eight matches. Sporting now trails Benfica by a point in the Primeira Liga. Rui Borges of Vitoria de Guimaraes has been appointed as the new manager.
