Former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has stepped down as manager of League Two club Fleetwood Town after a disappointing start to the season. Adam, who played for the Reds during the 2011/12 season, was unable to prevent Fleetwood from being relegated to League One last season and has struggled to turn their fortunes around in the fourth tier.
