Liverpool sources insist they haven’t given up on exciting transfer

Liverpool remains interested in signing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi despite missing out on him in the summer. The Spanish international is still a top target for the Reds, but it’s unclear how he would improve the team with Ryan Gravenberch’s strong performances. Zubimendi has previously expressed surprise at Liverpool’s summer approach, but it remains to be seen if he will be open to a move in January. Arsenal has also been linked with Zubimendi, who is considered good enough for top clubs and may not stay at Sociedad for much longer.
