Oyama an ‘exciting player for the future’, says TaylorManchester City has signed Japanese youth international Aemu Oyama until 2027. The 20-year-old midfielder has impressed with her performances for Japan’s U16 and U20 teams. City manager Gareth Taylor believes Oyama has a bright future and will benefit from the club’s environment. The signing follows the arrival of German defender Rebecca Knaak and the appointment of Therese Sjogran as Director of Football. Taylor hinted at further transfers before the January window closes.
