New VAR trial announced for our Newcastle cup tie

The EFL is trialing a new VAR system for the Carabao Cup semi-finals, allowing referees to explain their decisions over the stadium PA system. This aims to provide greater clarity and understanding around key decisions. The trial will be used in both legs of Arsenal’s semi-final against Newcastle United and Liverpool’s semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur.
