Liverpool agreed to sell me to Man City – but there was no chance I was going there

Daniel Agger, former Liverpool defender, rejected a lucrative move to Manchester City in 2012 despite Liverpool’s willingness to sell. Agger preferred to stay at Liverpool, but the club’s acceptance of a higher offer from City prompted him to decline the move. He ultimately returned to Brondby in 2014 and retired from football in 2016.
