Aston Villa’s appeal against Jhon Duran’s three-match ban for violent conduct has been rejected by the Football Association. The FA claims video evidence clearly shows Duran intentionally stepped on Fabian Schar’s back. Villa argued Duran could not avoid contact due to the proximity and speed of the incident. The commission ruled against Villa’s claim of wrongful dismissal by a 2-1 majority, and unanimously rejected the claim of excessive punishment.
