The Arsenal U21s will close out 2024 with a home clash against Sunderland on Monday, December 16th at Meadow Park. Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm (UK time).
The Gunners currently sit seventh in the table with 16 points and will be aiming to finish the year on a high after a late equalizer denied them victory against Brighton in their last outing.
Sunderland, in 13th place, have had a solid season so far, recording four wins, four losses, and one draw from their first nine matches. They will be looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat to Manchester City.
Last season, Sunderland impressed with a seventh-place finish and a remarkable play-off run to the Premier League 2 Final. Interestingly, Arsenal also faced Sunderland in their final game of 2023, winning 2-1 thanks to a brace from Khayon Edwards.
