After Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, Guardiola used six fingers to signify his title wins, in response to taunts from Liverpool fans. Mourinho, who has won three titles, took issue with Guardiola’s gesture, pointing to Man City’s ongoing legal issues with Financial Fair Play charges. He stated that while Guardiola may have won more titles, he himself had won “fairly and cleanly.”
